On Tuesday 21st May, Cana sent a team of 21 students to the Sydenham district cross country event held at Brimbank Park.
Cana, having one of the smaller teams competing, achieved an amazing accomplishment of finishing 3rd overall in the district. Students had to run a 2km (Grade 4) & 3km (Grade 5-6) race, with each race comprising approximately 60 competitors. Well Done to the following students for achieving a top 10 finish and as a result progressing to the Divisional Championships: Alexia Krstevski (2nd), Lana Mussel (3rd), Amelija Walton (4th), Ethan Rajski (6th), Addison Hayden (6th), Cooper Shein (6th), Ryan Rajski (7th), Lucas Galea (9th) & Joseph Mizzi (10th).
Cana’s team at the Divisional Championships enjoyed further success with three of our girls achieving a top 12 finish, to progress to the Regional Championships. Well Done to the entire team who made it this far and we wish Alexia Krstevski (3rd), Lana Mussel (8th) and Addison Hayden (11th) the best of luck at the next round!
