On Thursday 22nd August, Cana held its annual sports carnival with an Olympic twist. Students dressed in their house colours, rebranded as 4 countries- Red (Malta), Yellow (Australia), Green (Italy) and Blue (France). The morning kicked off with an opening ceremony including: countries parading to their national anthems and presentation of the Olympic torch. The students then competed in the 100m sprint event. Following this, students competed in various sports through rotational activities, including: discus, shot put, hurdles, tug of war, footy, soccer, basketball and many more. The day was rounded out with presentations to athlete of the day in each class and the announcment of the overall winner. Congratulations to Yellow house on being the 2024 champions!
